With deep sadness and a heavy heart, we inform you of the passing of Dr. Sukamal Saha, founder and Executive Director of Samaritan's Healing Hands, on June 2nd, 2024. Dr. Saha passed away peacefully, fulfilling his lifelong mission and surrounded by the love and admiration he so richly deserved.


Dr. Saha's dedication and generous support from you have made an extraordinary impact on the lives of countless individuals. Your contributions have enabled critical medical care, surgeries, and treatment for cancer patients in some of the most underserved regions of Africa and India. Through your kindness and generosity, many lives have been saved and transformed.


Dr. Saha pursued his passion for surgical oncology with unwavering commitment, continuing to serve others until his final days. His legacy will endure through the countless patients he treated and the medical professionals he trained and inspired.


In the coming months, Samaritan's Healing Hands will begin the process of winding down its operations. We are committed to ensuring that the remaining funds are used in accordance with Dr. Saha's vision and mission. We are currently exploring options to continue supporting cancer care initiatives that align with the principles and goals of Samaritan's Healing Hands.
